Today, September 4, 2024, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration with the Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA).
This agreement focuses on joint efforts in climate education, environmental protection, reforestation, tackling climate change through localized climate action initiatives, and join forces in preparedness and response to natural disaster impacts such as droughts, floods, cyclones, etc.
The key points of the agreement include:
- Adopting international principles for environmental conservation and reforestation.
- Joint efforts in raising public awareness about environmental conservation and reforestation.
- Organizing and educating communities to take a leading role in environmental conservation and addressing climate change.
- Collaboration in preparedness and response to the impacts of natural disasters caused by climate change.
- Implementation and advocacy for the principles and initiatives of environmental sustainability under the Green Hope Movement.
This agreement is based on mutual recognition of the urgent need for joint efforts to address environmental degradation and climate change effectively.
